Funky Flamingo 2nds
A dilapidated commercial building has found a new use as a resale shop, selling gently used furniture and household items. The renovation will eliminate blight and add a business to the neighborhood. Funky Flamingo will also serve as the base for a paid internship and job coaching program for our youth tenants.
Donations of “gently used” furniture and furnishings are welcome – we will use these items in our youth apartments or sell them in the “FUNKY FLAMINGO 2nds thrift & resale shop! Please call to arrange previews & pick-ups. Profits from the resale store will be used in programs & projects carrying out H.O.M.ES. charitable mission – including our supportive housing program for former foster youth.
