H.O.M.E.S. is one of four primary partners of BAND’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Development Team. Together, we have bought 100+ foreclosed houses and renovated them with local small and minority contractors.
Homebuyer education classes & financial counseling are provided to new buyer prospects. Local banks provide loans to qualified purchasers of the renovated homes, and we provide up to $40,000 in down payment and closing cost assistance (in addition to a 3.5% downpayment required from each buyer’s own funds).
